Job summary

Foundation Communities is seeking a Property Manager Assistant to support the Property Manager in day-to-day operations and when absent. The role involves leasing tasks, record-keeping, and coordinating with maintenance and staff.

The position emphasizes on-site work, independence, and adherence to housing regulations with a strong focus on resident relations and accuracy in reporting.

Qualifications

• Sound judgment to resolve problems and make routine recommendations.
• Little to no instruction on routine work; capable of independent work with general guidance.
• On-site software experience for property management tasks.
• Fair Housing training or certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and organized resident records.
• Post rents, deposits, fees, and daily bank deposits.
• Prepare and provide renewal notices (90/60/30 days).
• Conduct recertifications and background checks.
• Issue notices for late payments, evictions, NSF checks.
• Prepare/update reports as directed by Property Manager.
• Greet prospective residents, show property, and handle leasing tasks.
• Handle calls from residents and vendors.
• Process service requests and coordinate with maintenance.
• Inspect move-outs and vacant units as requested.
• Support residents’ housing stability with Resident Services staff.
