Job summary

The Fountains Apartments, part of CSM Corporation, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain buildings, grounds and equipment in a safe, professional manner. The role is full-time, on-site in West Des Moines, IA, with a rotating on-call schedule and Monday–Friday hours 8:00am–5:00pm.

Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, completing work orders, managing supplies and inventory, assisting with snow removal, and ensuring resident satisfaction while complying with safety

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience is preferred.
• Attention to detail, customer focused and the ability to perform job duties in a fast paced environment.
• General computer experience preferred.
• Current and valid driver's license with safe driving record required.
• Education includes a High School diploma or GED; CPO, HVAC, EPA certifications are desired or obtainable per property requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the maintenance shop and property in a clean, safe condition.
• Execute preventive maintenance for resident units, common areas, hallways, garages, grounds, pool and equipment.
• Perform snow removal and upkeep to maintain curb appeal and resident appeal.
• Complete work orders promptly and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
• Safely use and safeguard maintenance tools and supplies; monitor costs and inventory.
• Follow procurement guidelines and manage maintenance budget in line with policies.
• Ensure resident satisfaction by timely, courteous service and adherence to standards.
• Attend to residents’ needs and collaborate with other teams as required.
