Essex Property Trust, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to uphold property standards and ensure resident satisfaction. You will perform routine maintenance on essential systems, repair interior/exterior components, and prep vacant units for new residents.

The role requires timely response to work orders and adherence to safety protocols. The position includes on-call duties, five-day onsite workweeks, and collaboration with property management staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years of property maintenance experience.
• HVAC certification preferred (or CPO).
• Valid driver's license required for on-site operations.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances).
• Repair interior and exterior features (doors, windows, walls, flooring, fixtures).
• Respond to resident work orders and prepare units for new residents.
• Coordinate inspections and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule.
• On-call for emergencies, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
