Job summary

The Bachrach Group is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the on-site maintenance team for a Jersey City residential property. You will oversee all day-to-day maintenance, vendor coordination, and turns, ensuring safety, quality, and fiscal discipline while supporting resident satisfaction.

Located in Jersey City, the role oversees 400+ units and requires strong leadership, building systems knowledge, and experience with PM/work order platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of property maintenance experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical.
• Experience with property management and work order systems.
• Proven leadership, vendor management and budgeting skills.
• HVAC certification, EPA and related licenses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage on-site maintenance team and contractors.
• Oversee work orders and ensure timely completion within service targets.
• Coordinate apartment turns and capital projects.
• Manage inventory, purchases, and vendor performance.
• Ensure safety, compliance with codes and company standards.
• Maintain high property standards and resident satisfaction.
