Job summary

Building and Land Technology (BLT) is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead and manage the maintenance operations at a luxury multifamily community in Jersey City, NJ. This hands-on role supports day-to-day operations of 1,100+ units, ensuring excellent resident service while maintaining building systems and amenities to high standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of apartment or multifamily maintenance experience.
• Supervisory or lead maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliances.
• Carpentry and general building maintenance proficiency.
• Ability to diagnose and repair building systems independently.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Experience with CMMS or BMS platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance operations for 1,100+ apartments.
• Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive tasks.
• Prioritize and monitor work orders to ensure timely completion.
• Assist with hiring, training, and mentoring maintenance staff.
• Oversee make-readies and unit turnovers to prep for new residents.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors according to BLT standards.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and safety compliance.
