Job summary

Building and Land Technology (BLT) seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead the day-to-day maintenance operations at a 1,100+ unit luxury apartment community in Jersey City, NJ. This hands-on leadership role focuses on resident service and high standards for building systems, amenities, and common areas.

The ideal candidate has multifamily maintenance and supervisory experience, strong HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair skills, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in apartment/multifamily or property maintenance.
• Previous supervisory or lead maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.
• Ability to diagnose and repair building systems independently.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance operations for a luxury community with 1,100+ units.
• Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive tasks.
• Prioritize and monitor work orders; ensure timely completion and resident satisfaction.
• Coach and develop maintenance technicians; oversee turnovers and make-readies.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors; maintain safety and compliance.
• Maintain records of maintenance schedules, inventory, and documentation.
