Job summary

Apartment Management Professionals is seeking a Community Director to oversee daily operations, financial performance, and resident satisfaction at a residential community in Austin, TX. You will lead leasing, rent collection, vendor relations, and on-site staff performance, ensuring compliance with housing and safety regulations.

The role requires at least three years of property management experience, strong negotiation and organizational skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of property management experience.
• High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One to three years of management experience preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software; experience with ResMan property management software preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily property operations and financial adherence.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA and applicable laws.
• Manage recruitment, training, and performance reviews for on-site staff.
• Develop and manage operating budgets with Regional Directors.
• Ensure rent collection and posting; oversee evictions per legal requirements.
• Maintain vendor relations, schedules, and certificate of insurance compliance.
• Ensure lease files are complete and properly executed.
• Maintain office operations and model apartments for tours.
• Provide required reports to the Regional Director as scheduled.
• Proactively communicate operational challenges to Regional Director.
