Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines seeks a Safety Superintendent to provide hands-on, field-based safety leadership on Elko region project sites. You will implement the project safety management system, coach supervisors and contractors, and ensure critical controls are in place for high-risk activities.

The role requires strong MSHA knowledge, 7+ years in mining safety, and a proactive approach to building a safe work culture while delivering training, inspections, and accurate safety records.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
• MSHA regulations knowledge; instructor cert preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety leadership across work fronts.
• Implement and enforce project safety management system and site safety plans.
• Coach supervisors and contractors in hazard identification and safe work planning.
• Verify critical controls for high-risk activities and conduct field inspections.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis; track corrective actions.
