Job summary

JE Dunn seeks an experienced Project Engineer 2 to support routine construction and field execution on our Raleigh projects. You will assist with safety, QA/QC, estimating, scheduling and on-site coordination, working with foremen, superintendents and subcontractors to deliver quality outcomes on time and within budget.

The role emphasizes lean practices, utilization of CMiC and MS Office for reporting and documentation, with occasional travel and non-traditional hours as project needs dictate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Participates in safety and quality plans and culture to promote an injury-free environment.
• Supports estimating and change management processes including quantity take-off and subcontractor proposals.
• Works on site with project team to monitor crew size, hours, materials and equipment.
• Prepares documentation and participates in QA/QC planning to ensure task quality.
• Manages logs for procurement, shop drawings, deliveries and project schedule updates.
• Provides progress updates to support scheduling and project leadership.
