Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to assist Project Managers in ensuring work meets plans and specifications on a site-based project. The role requires relocation to the project location and close interaction with architects, subcontractors, and the owner’s team.

You will review shop drawings, assist in scheduling, and publish weekly progress reports. Candidates should have a degree in construction management or related field and prove strong communication and analytical skills,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
• The ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Learning ability to quickly learn new job-related information.
• Knowledge of OSHA and company safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assists Project Managers to ensure work installed meets plans and specifications.
• Reviews shop drawings and submittals for accuracy.
• Publishes weekly progress reports and coordinates meetings.
• Updates project schedules and assists in bidding and scope development.
• Coordinates testing and inspections of materials and concrete pours.
• Ensures compliance with safety policies and procedures.
