Navarro Research and Engineering in Los Alamos, NM seeks an experienced Project Engineer 3/4 to lead design management and construction support for high-security infrastructure. You will be the technical backbone, coordinating between project management, design teams, physical security engineers, and construction management to deliver mission-critical facilities on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of project engineering experience in commercial infrastructure/high-security facilities.
• Willingness to work 100% on-site at project locations; ability to obtain/maintain DOE Q clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate security and infrastructure design interfaces across multiple disciplines.
• Lead engineering lifecycle from definition through turnover and closeout.
• Manage technical document control, submittals, RFIs, and change processes on-site.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure design compliance with security requirements.
• Ensure project schedules, budgets, and safety standards are maintained.
