Job summary

Central Garden & Pet Company is seeking a Manufacturing Production Scheduler based in Monroe Township, NJ. You will develop, coordinate, and maintain production schedules across all work centers to balance demand, materials, labor, and equipment while ensuring on-time delivery and cost control.

You will supervise a team of Production Posting Associates, monitor progress, and continuously improve scheduling processes in collaboration with Supply Chain and Marketing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or related manufacturing operations.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and adjust daily, weekly, and long-range production schedules based on demand and capacity.
• Coordinate schedules across manufacturing work centers to maximize throughput.
• Communicate schedules and changes to supervisors and stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, identify delays, and revise schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain scheduling data in the ERP/MRP system.
• Supervise and mentor Production Posting Associates.
