Job summary

3M is seeking a Production Planner to collaborate with teams across the globe. You will create production and purchasing schedules, apply data-driven methods to improve service, cost and inventory, and drive cross-functional projects that optimize supply chain performance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 2+ years in supply chain or planning, and a valid driver's license. On-site work at Oak Hills or Monrovia, CA with up to 20% travel; relocation may be offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
• Two (2) years combined experience in supply chain, planning, logistics, and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environment.
• Current Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Create Production and Purchasing Schedules to meet service targets.
• Use supply chain tools to drive data-based decisions for service, cost and inventory.
• Lead cross-functional projects to improve service, cost and inventory.
• Analyze capacity and align with requirements to maintain targets.
• Engage with customers and forecasts to understand demand and align with operations.
• Manage inventories to keep targets and lead times within plan.
• Track and report metrics (OTIF, backlog, etc.).
