Job summary

Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Pre-Construction Manager to coordinate all pre-construction activities on-site in the United States. You will build and maintain qualified trade networks, manage bidding processes, and align design, engineering, purchasing, and site teams to ensure readiness before groundbreaking.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Building Science preferred.
• Ability to travel across the U.S. (minimum twice per month, up to weekly).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop a catalog of qualified subcontractors for each trade.
• Pre-qualify subcontractors to streamline pricing.
• Manage bid processes using BuildingConnected and Procore.
• Coordinate with design teams to finalize material lists and quantities.
• Lead pre-construction meetings and site walkthroughs.
• Maintain and update subcontract and consultant agreements.
• Attend design, engineering, and AOC meetings to stay aligned.
• Lead project management calls and promote safety.
• Other duties as assigned.
