Job summary

Tenaska is seeking a Director of Operations to oversee multiple power generation facilities in the United States. You will lead operations, maintenance, and engineering, ensuring safe, reliable, and profitable performance while meeting safety, environmental, and contractual requirements.

The role demands strong leadership, budget oversight, and the ability to drive continuous improvement, outages planning, and regulator/partner liaison. MBA or related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in power generation operations and/or maintenance.
• Significant experience with gas turbine facilities.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement in plant safety, reliability, efficiency, and profitability.
• Lead, develop, and manage plant staff to align with standards.
• Oversee daily facility operations to meet production targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
