Job summary

UNACEM North America is seeking an IT Specialist on-site at the Tehachapi Cement Plant. You will be the primary on-site IT resource, ensuring reliable technology infrastructure, end-user support, and secure enterprise systems.

Collaboration with Corporate IT and vendors will be essential to minimize downtime and drive operational efficiency. Responsibilities include maintaining Windows/Microsoft 365 environments, Active Directory, SAP applications, asset management, and network infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
• Three to five years of IT support experience in manufacturing or production environments preferred.
• Experience supporting Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking and enterprise hardware.
• Experience supporting SAP or other ERP systems preferred.
• Industry certifications (CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+, Microsoft, CCNA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support for Tehachapi Plant employees, resolving hardware, software, network, printer, and mobile device issues.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and related equipment.
• Support Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and enterprise applications.
• Administer user accounts, access permissions, password resets, and workstation deployments following security standards.
• Maintain local network infrastructure and coordinate with Corporate IT for advanced support.
• Support SAP and other plant ERP systems and manufacturing applications.
• Perform hardware/software deployments, imaging, patches, and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain IT asset inventories and software licensing records.
• Coordinate vendor support, warranty repairs, and third-party providers.
• Escalate complex issues to Corporate IT and track resolutions.
• Contribute to cybersecurity initiatives and endpoint protection.
• Assist with corporate technology projects and infrastructure upgrades.
• Create user guides and knowledge base articles for end users.
• Provide occasional after-hours support for business-critical issues.
