Job summary

UNACEM North America Tehachapi Cement plant seeks a maintenance technician to perform mechanical maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of plant equipment. You will support uptime by following maintenance programs, reading schematics, and maintaining safe operations.

Responsibilities include inspections, preventive/corrective work, and collaboration with the maintenance team. A high school diploma and millwright knowledge are required; union membership may follow probation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Journeyman-level millwright knowledge and passing a technical assessment required.
• Must be willing to join the union after probation.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of plant equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and report findings to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance with safety compliance.
• Maintain equipment such as conveyors, mills, kilns, crushers and related systems.
• Read schematics and technical documentation; follow MSHA and site safety standards.
