Job summary

Daifuku Intralogistics America Corporation is seeking a Plant Supervisor for the Assembly 1st Shift in Hobart, Indiana. The role oversees shop employees, drives safety, quality, and productivity, and coordinates daily production plans.

You will implement policies, mentor staff, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong supervisory skills, detail orientation, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical field degree is a plus; supervisory roles welcome.
• Experience in manufacturing and team leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads daily team operations, schedules staff, assigns work, and enforces policies.
• Directs employees to meet quality and on-time delivery targets; communicates issues to managers.
• Prepare end-of-shift reports and update plant leadership on progress.
• Collaborate with production to manage workflow and clarify responsibilities.
• Lead 6S improvements to reach 90 points and sustain safety and quality.
