Job summary

Clark Construction Group, LLC is seeking a skilled piping installer to join our on-site team. You will select pipes and fittings, install and test piping systems, and work closely with foremen to plan sequencing while maintaining safety on busy job sites.

With a strong emphasis on teamwork and adherence to Clark Standards of Excellence, you will operate hand and power tools, read drawings, and ensure leak-free, code-compliant installations across diverse projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• Attention to safety and detail.
• Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
• Ability to read drawings including pipe shop drawings, mechanical drawings, and P&ID’s
• Excellent physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Good communication skills

Responsibilities

• Selects type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment according to job specifications.
• Assist foreman in planning installation sequence to avoid obstructions and conflicting activities.
• Cut pipe using a pipe cutter, saw, power tools, or pipe cutting machine.
• Thread pipe using threading machine.
• Know safe operation of Victaulic roll grooving and cut groove operations.
• Mount pipe hangers and brackets on walls/ceilings to hold pipe.
• Assemble and install various pipes and fittings using threaded, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints.
• Secure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps and hangers.
• Test piping systems for leaks by pressurizing and inspecting gauges.
• Follow all safety, project rules and Clark policies.
• Work around heavy machinery, including cranes, and rig and signal loads as required.
• Set and align pumps and blowers; conduct field layout and calculate offsets, miters, and fittings.
