Job summary

Delray Medical Center, part of the Tenet network, seeks a physician advisor to drive utilization management and documentation quality on-site in Delray Beach, FL. You will influence care levels, educate committees, and lead utilization initiatives with an emphasis on patient care improvement.

The role requires an MD/DO, Florida license or eligibility, board certification, and at least 5 years in a hospital leadership capacity.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with Florida license or ability to attain
• Board certified in a specialty recognized by ABMS
• Experience as a physician leader in a large system or hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Review cases for appropriate Level of Care and monitor observation stays
• Educate physicians and committees on utilization and documentation best practices
• Lead daily huddles, complex case conferences, and peer education
• Chair the Utilization Management Committee quarterly
• Manage payer denials, including peer-to-peer reviews
• Partner with CDI/HIM teams to improve documentation quality
• Partner with administration to reduce financial risks from denials and extended lengths of stay
