Job summary

Tenet Healthcare in Delray Beach, FL is seeking a board-certified physician to join our leadership team as a Physician Advisor. This ON-SITE, full-time role focuses on utilization management, documentation integrity, and physician education to improve patient care and hospital performance.

You will review cases, educate physicians, lead huddles and committees, and work with CDI/HIM to enhance documentation quality while reducing unnecessary services.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with current Florida license or ability to attain
• Board certification in ABMS-recognized specialty
• Minimum 5 years of hospital leadership/physician leadership experience
• Strong communication and collaboration with peers
• Data-driven mindset with measurable impact on outcomes

Responsibilities

• Review cases for appropriate Level of Care and monitor observation stays
• Educate physicians and committees on utilization and documentation best practices
• Lead daily huddles, complex case conferences, and peer education
• Chair the Utilization Management Committee quarterly
• Partner with CDI/HIM to improve documentation quality
• Collaborate with administration to reduce financial risks from denials and extended LOS
