Qualifications

• Board-certified in an ABMS-recognized specialty.
• Minimum 5 years of hospital leadership experience.
• Proven track record in utilization management and documentation.
• Strong communication skills across committees and leadership.
• Data-driven approach with measurable impact on outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Review cases for appropriate Level of Care and monitor observation stays.
• Educate physicians and committees on utilization and documentation best practices.
• Lead daily huddles, complex case conferences, and peer education.
• Chair the Utilization Management Committee on a quarterly basis.
• Manage payer denials, including peer-to-peer reviews.
• Partner with CDI/HIM teams to improve documentation quality.
• Collaborate with administration to reduce financial risks from unnecessary services and extended lengths of stay.
