Job summary

You will work under supervision but maintain independence, travel locally, and participate in crisis response as needed; must have a high school diploma and strong communication, with a commitment to empowering individuals on their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Must identify as someone who has met criteria for substance use disorder as defined by DSM.
• Help participants identify and achieve self-determined goals.
• Demonstrates recovery/wellness knowledge and models coping skills.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build trusting relationships and respect rights of participants.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist program participants with mental illnesses to regain control over their lives and recovery process.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team to support recovery goals.
• May assist with crisis intervention in emergency situations.
