Responsibilities

• Provide peer support services and mentoring to promote empowerment.
• Counsel program participants to identify self-determined goals.
• Act as informal educator to team, promoting understanding of each person’s experiences.
• Collaborate with team to support self-determination in recovery planning.
• Assist participants in identifying and reducing stigma associated with mental illness.
• Liaise between the team and client-run programs such as self-help groups.
