Job summary

Horizon House, Inc. in Philadelphia, PA seeks a part-time Direct Care Counselor to provide recovery-oriented mobile and site-based counseling and support. You will work with a caseload, delivering group and individual sessions, crisis prevention/intervention, and educational services.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and are willing to share personal recovery experiences to benefit the team. Local travel and possible after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• Has a high school diploma or GED.
• Willing to self-identify as a current or former recipient of mental health services and/or co-occurring services.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide recovery-oriented mobile and site-based counseling and support services.
• Deliver crisis prevention/intervention and educational services.
• Serve a designated caseload of participants and collaterals (family/friends).
• Travel locally to transport program participants by car or van as needed.
