This on-site role requires accurate maintenance of payroll records, adherence to wage and hour regulations, and timely responses to employee inquiries.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of hands-on payroll experience, strong attention to detail, and discretion handling confidential information, with familiarity of Paylocity or similar

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll experience required.
• Knowledge of California wage-and-hour laws.
• Experience with certified payroll, prevailing wage, or union payroll preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll, including wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions.
• Maintain accurate payroll records (timekeeping, PTO, leave balances).
• Verify hours and ensure deadlines are met.
• Support compliance with federal and California wage-and-hour laws and tax requirements.
• Assist with payroll reporting, tax filings, and year-end activities (W-2).
• Respond to employee inquiries about paychecks, deductions, and timekeeping.
• Process garnishments and other required payroll deductions.
• Collaborate with HR and accounting to resolve payroll issues.
