Job summary

NOOR Staffing Group is seeking a Contract Payroll Assistant with Workday for an in-person role near the Port Authority in New York. The position offers an hourly pay rate up to $32 and the potential to go permanent, with a standard Monday–Friday 9am–5pm schedule.

You will support payroll processing, time sheets, direct deposits, new hire paperwork, and data input under a Payroll Supervisor, with emphasis on accuracy, confidentiality, and customer service. Experience with Workday is required.

Qualifications

• Proven Workday experience required.
• Background in payroll processing and data accuracy.
• Strong math and numerical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assists Payroll Supervisor in payroll processing and related issues.
• Processes time sheets and direct deposits.
• Sets up wage garnishments and other deductions.
• Handles new hire paperwork when necessary.
• Inputs data and verifies information.
• Responds to wage data requests from researchers and agencies.
• Interacts with other teams and departments.
• Covers for team members during absences.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
