Job summary

Hill International is seeking a Pavement Manager in Houston, Texas to lead pavement rehabilitation projects. You will advise on strategies for hot mix asphalt and concrete, coordinate with the owner on preferred approaches, and supervise on-site quality control and inspection teams to ensure project success.

You will also manage field records, review contractor operations for schedule adherence, and lead weekly progress meetings while ensuring contractor and staff understand contract revisions

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in construction management.
• Willingness to work full-time on-site in Houston, TX.
• Experience with hot mix asphalt and concrete pavement construction.
• Texas engineering license or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Advise on pavement rehabilitation strategies for hot mix asphalt and concrete, coordinate with the owner on preferred strategies.
• Supervise on-site quality control personnel and manage performance, promotions, and time off.
• Provide direction to inspection staff and ensure proper inspection techniques are applied.
• Ensure project records and contract revisions are communicated and followed by field staff.
• Review contractor operations to ensure schedule compliance and identify critical activities.
• Hold weekly progress meetings and issue minutes; coordinate with owner to ensure satisfaction.
