AAA Paving Since 1964 is seeking a Paving Production Manager (municipalities) for the Greater Houston area. This full-time, on-site role oversees daily city and county paving operations, coordinating crews, equipment, and materials to meet deadlines and budget targets.

You will work with supervisors, estimators and clients to clarify requirements and resolve field issues, while ensuring safety and quality on every project.

Qualifications

• Experience managing asphalt paving projects with crews, equipment, and materials.
• Knowledge of asphalt paving processes, site preparation, compaction, and quality control standards.
• Knowledge of traffic control standards and flagging operations.
• Strong project planning and scheduling skills to meet deadlines.
• Effective leadership and team management including training and coaching.
• Commitment to safety with OSHA familiarity on active job sites.
• Clear verbal and written communication with field teams, management and customers.
• Proficiency with project documentation, reporting, and use of CM tools.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to work outdoors in heat and varying weather conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional paving training is a plus.
• Experience in the Greater Houston market or similar environment preferred.

Role Description

The Paving Production Manager (municipalities) is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Houston, responsible for overseeing daily city and county paving operations and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This role coordinates crews, equipment, and materials, manages project schedules, and monitors progress to meet deadlines and budget targets. The Paving Production Manager works closely with supervisors, estimators, and clients to clarify requirements, resolve issues in the field, and maintain clear communication throughout each project. Daily responsibilities include reviewing job plans, conducting site inspections, enforcing safety procedures, optimizing crew productivity, and documenting production metrics. The role also involves coaching team members, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and upholding AAA Paving’s reputation for dependable, high-quality work.

• Basic proficiency with project documentation, reporting, and use of mobile or desktop construction management tools.
• Valid driver’s license and ability pass a backgroudn check.
• Must be able to work outdoors in the heat and in varying weather conditions and on active construction sites.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certification in construction or paving is a plus.
• Previous experience in the Greater Houston market or similar environment is preferred.
