Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners in Pottstown, PA seeks a Patient Access Specialist for on-site duties in the Emergency Department. The role handles admitting tasks, MRN assignment, insurance verification, POS collections, and patient education, with a focus on accurate data and compassionate service.

You will operate the switchboard, pre-register patients, collect demographics and financial liability details, explain consent forms, and support compliance and audits as part of daily processes.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Must be inquisitive and open to innovation including AI to improve processes.
• High School Diploma or GED required; CRCR certification within 9 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assign accurate MRNs and complete medical necessity checks.
• Operate the telephone switchboard and provide excellent customer service.
• Pre-register patient accounts and collect demographics, insurance, and financial liability information.
• Explain and obtain signatures on consent forms and distribute patient education documents.
• Review eligibility in insurance verification system and support POS processes.
• Conduct audits and ensure forms are completed accurately and timely.
