The Pastry Baker will assist with bread and focaccia, follow established recipes, and uphold sanitation and safety standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This full-time position offers on-site work and a supportive production team.

Qualifications

• Experience in baking pastries or professional kitchen roles.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow recipes and production standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Valid Utah Food Handlers Permit required.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Pull, proof, bake, and finish croissants and pastries according to established recipes and production standards.
• Prepare cookies, batters, fillings, toppings, and other pastry components and sellable items.
• Assist with daily bread and focaccia production, including mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking as needed.
• Follow recipes and production procedures accurately to ensure consistency in quality, taste, texture, and appearance.
• Measure and prepare ingredients accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor baking times, temperatures, proofing, and product quality throughout the production process.
• Assist with daily production planning and ensure products are prepared in the appropriate quantities and on schedule.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area throughout the shift.
• Properly store, label, and date ingredients and prepared products.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards.
• Assist with general kitchen tasks and production needs as directed by the Pastry/Kitchen leadership.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding production needs, inventory, timing, and any issues affecting daily operations.
• Support a positive, collaborative, and efficient kitchen environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
