Job summary

Lambs Farm in Libertyville, IL, seeks an Overnight Sleep Shift DSP to support Participants during the 10:00 PM–9:00 AM hours. Staff sleep on-site when not needed and must stay alert to respond to all health, safety, or behavioral issues.

Responsibilities include monitoring Participants, aiding with routines, administering medications, documenting activity, and communicating with the residential team. Strong English, reliability, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must complete Lambs Farm RISE Program and onboarding.
• Must maintain DSP certifications and pursue state certification.
• Training sessions may occur outside regular sleep shifts with advance scheduling.
• Must adhere to DSP training, certification, and health protocols.

Responsibilities

• Remain on-site for the 10:00 PM–9:00 AM shift.
• Sleep on-site when Participants are settled and no assistance is required.
• Wake promptly to emergencies or Participant needs.
• Assist Participants with evening and morning routines.
• Support activities of daily living to promote independence and dignity.
• Follow care plans and established support strategies.
• Administer medications as assigned and per certification.
• Monitor health, safety, and well-being; report concerns.
• Complete documentation and electronic records accurately.
• Document incidents and overnight activity.
• Communicate information to incoming staff and team members.
• Follow emergency procedures and health protocols.
• Maintain a safe, respectful residential environment.
