Ameriprise Financial's Allentown office is seeking an Operations and Financial Planning Specialist to support client service, portfolio management, financial planning, and day-to-day operations in an in-office role.

Ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree and 3+ years in financial services, with strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with advisors and paraplanners to deliver accurate analyses and timely client meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the financial services industry.
• Experience in a financial advisory, wealth management, investment management, retirement planning, or brokerage environment.
• Working knowledge of investment products, portfolio construction, and client service processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary portfolio recommendations and investment solutions for advisor review.
• Research and develop portfolio and product recommendations aligned with clients' goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon.
• Support portfolio implementation activities, including account maintenance and trading-related functions.
• Assist advisors in preparing investment proposals and client presentations.
• Help develop financial planning recommendations and deliverables.
• Create reports, analyses, and supporting documentation for client meetings.
• Coordinate follow-up activities resulting from financial planning discussions and client reviews.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients throughout the financial planning and investment management process.
• Assist in resolving client service requests and issues in a timely, professional manner.
• Gather, review, and update client information to ensure all account records remain accurate and current.
• Prepare meeting materials, reports, and documentation for client review meetings.
• Participate in client meetings as needed to provide operational, planning, or investment-related support.
