Job summary

JLL is hiring an Operating Engineer to support mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems on a 1.5M sq ft campus in Broomfield, CO. You will work with a dedicated five-person team to maintain critical building operations and tenant satisfaction.

Role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, preventive tasks, and on-call rotations with safety and training requirements to uphold facility standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
• Universal CFC EPA certification or commitment to achieving within first year (with JLL assistance).
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall.
• Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and/or drive.
• Strong customer service skills and professional communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks for entire campus building systems including HVAC (chiller plant/cooling tower maintenance), painting, pressure washing, lighting systems (bulbs/ballasts), plumbing, water treatment, locksmith work, generators, and UPS maintenance.
• Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete tenant service requests promptly.
• Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks according to schedule.
• Support on‑call or emergency response situations as part of rotating schedule.
• Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls.
• Comply with all safety procedures and statutory requirements.
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs.
