Job summary

JLL is seeking an Operating Engineer for a 1.5M sq ft campus in Colorado. You will support mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, working in a dedicated five-person engineering team on-site.

The role offers hands-on experience with diverse building technologies and direct impact on facility operations and tenant satisfaction. The position requires 3+ years of related experience, EPA certification, and physical ability for lifting and climbing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
• Universal CFC EPA certification or plan to achieve within first year.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall.
• Strong customer service and professional communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks for campus building systems including HVAC, painting, pressure washing, lighting, plumbing, water treatment, locksmith work, generators, and UPS maintenance.
• Maintain CMMS work order system daily and respond to tenant service requests.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections according to schedule.
• Support on-call or emergency response as part of rotating schedule.
• Troubleshoot building systems including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls.
• Comply with safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational training programs.
