Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking an Office Engineer to support field execution with project administration, safety, and quality control. The OE will work with the project engineer on contract changes, RFIs, financials, and scheduling, interfacing with trade partners and suppliers.

The role emphasizes on-site work at the designated location, requiring a 4-year civil/structural/architecture/construction management background and strong communication with BIM/VDC coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; civil, structural, architecture, or CM field preferred.
• 1 year of experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Strong communication skills essential.
• Proficiency with MS Office, ProjectSight, Primavera, and Autodesk tools.

Responsibilities

• Support field with materials management to maintain project schedule.
• Supervise trade partner employees in submittal and shop drawing processes.
• Review and approve submittals, shop drawings, and product data.
• Create and process RFIs in a solutions-oriented manner.
• Handle bonds, insurance, pay apps, and change orders.
• Assist with monthly owner pay application and margin analysis.
• Participate in jobsite safety meetings and weekly audits.
• Facilitate the quality control plan and inspections.
• Support BIM and VDC coordination meetings and review models.
