Job summary

Energy Solutions, LLC is seeking a Waste Processing Specialist to support a range of waste processing activities at the Harrisburg area site. The role requires on-site work, independent operation within safety controls, and collaboration with the Fuel and Waste Processing Director to meet operational and compliance goals.

The position covers waste characterization, SNM-related support, and preparation of essential regulatory documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or high school graduate with 8 years experience or equivalent.
• Track record of building and developing effective teams.
• Nuclear experience preferred, but not required.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on oversight for waste processing of radioactive liquids, solids, and chemical waste streams.
• Coordinate between LLRW and D&D to develop treatment, storage, disposal and packaging plans.
• Ensure waste segregation, labeling, and packaging per waste profiles and DOT regulations.
• Perform inspections and maintenance on waste processing equipment; report malfunctions.
