Wilson Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a part-time Nights Switchboard Operator in Wilson, NC. The role serves as the primary contact for hospital calls, coordinating paging and emergency communications while maintaining accurate information across the facility.

The successful candidate will handle after-hours messages, support hospital communications, and work in a fast-paced team to ensure clear, professional interactions with patients, families, and staff.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong verbal communication skills to interact with callers, patients, visitors, and staff.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills for handling inquiries and directing calls.
• Ability to stay calm, focused, and professional in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following established protocols.

Responsabilidades

• Manage incoming hospital calls and direct callers to appropriate departments and staff in a courteous, professional manner.
• Coordinate hospital-wide paging, intercom announcements, and dial-a-page services to support communications.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls by following procedures and notifying relevant personnel.
• Maintain accurate switchboard information including extensions, room assignments, admissions and contact details.
• Facilitate after-hours communication by relaying messages to on-call personnel as needed.
