Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screens and educate parents on early intervention.

The role is on-site at hospital locations with on-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certification. You will manage data entry, scheduling, and ensure confidentiality while supporting families through newborn screening.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Weekend and national holidays availability required.
• One to three months of newborn/medical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and collect necessary data for each baby.
• Ensure screen readiness and conduct screens in a calm environment.
• Educate parents on the importance of early intervention.
• Upload results, billing and state reporting by end of shift.
• Notify supervisor of missed or referred babies and schedule follow-up.
• Maintain documentation and follow PPE and safety policies.
• Balance efficiency with quality and patient education during screens.
