Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an on-site Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hearing screens in hospital settings and educate families on the importance of early intervention. You will manage data entry, comply with safety protocols, and coordinate follow-up for refer babies.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, empathy for families, and the ability to work weekends/holidays. On-the-job training and FDA-accredited certification support are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CPR certification required or obtained on offer.
• Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays is required.
• Experience with newborns or in a medical setting is a plus, entry level acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Screen newborns for hearing loss in the hospital setting.
• Provide parent education on the importance of hearing screens and follow-up care.
• Collect patient data and perform screens with accurate documentation.
• Upload screen results and state reporting by end of each shift.
• Notify supervisor of missed or referred babies and schedule outpatient appointments as needed.
• Maintain safety protocols, PPE, vaccinations, and hospital policies.
