West Virginia University is seeking an On‑Site Network Engineer to support the Information Technology Services team in Morgantown. Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience in a relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in configuration and installation of Routers, Switches, and Wireless Access Points.
• Experience with Internet TCP/IP protocols (DHCP, DNS, SNMP, TELNET, FTP, WWW, SSH).
• All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure networking hardware (routers, switches, access points) per guidelines.
• Diagnose and resolve basic network issues and perform routine maintenance and updates.
• Monitor network performance and provide first-level end-user support.
• Manage network inventory, cabling, and documentation.
• Contribute to security measures, access controls, and password policies.
• Provide remote support to end users and offices as needed.
• Engage in training to stay current with networking technologies.
