The role emphasizes monitoring, incident response, documentation, and coordination with IT teams to support academic and administrative operations. A strong networking and cybersecurity background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, cybersecurity, or related field.
• Associates’ degree in IT/CS/cybersecurity plus significant experience may be considered.
• Certifications in networking and cybersecurity are preferred (e.g., CompTIA Networking+, Extreme Networks).
• 3 years progressive network-related experience with deployment and maintenance of network devices.
• 1 year leadership role overseeing an active network.
• 1 year project/IT network management experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain network infrastructure and security controls to ensure 99.99% uptime.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords for proper access control.
• Collaborate with Director of IT and IT Committee to support campus needs.
• Monitor for security incidents and conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Document network architecture and inventory; update firmware and hardware as needed.
• Assist with penetration testing and regulatory compliance efforts.
