Job summary

MaxIT Consulting – Max Corporate Group is seeking an Accounting & Payroll Specialist to support an electrical and electronics manufacturing operation in City of Industry, CA. This on-site, full-time role handles multi-state payroll and general ledger tasks within a direct-hire arrangement.

You will run bi-weekly payroll for multiple locations, ensure compliance with wage-and-hour rules, and support month-end close and financial reporting. Strong Excel and HRIS skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on payroll processing.
• Minimum 3 years of multi-state payroll experience.
• Experience independently managing full-cycle payroll.
• Hands-on experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of federal, state and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Proficiency with payroll software, HRIS systems and Microsoft Excel.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle, bi-weekly payroll for multiple locations across different states.
• Review and validate timecards, attendance records, payroll adjustments and employee information.
• Process payroll adjustments, manual checks, off-cycle payments and deductions.
• Reconcile payroll reports, maintain accurate records and prepare payroll-related journal entries.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local payroll laws, including wage and hour regulations.
• Process garnishments, tax levies, child support orders and benefit deductions.
• Coordinate payroll tax filings, W-2 processing and year-end reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate payroll data within payroll, HRIS and ERP systems.
• Assist with general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Support accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) activities.
• Assist with month-end closing, financial reporting and the preparation and review of P&L statements.
• Support management with financial reviews, budgeting and financial analysis, and resolve accounting discrepancies.
