Confidential Recruiting Partners is seeking an experienced Accounting & Payroll Specialist to support multi-state payroll administration and day-to-day accounting operations. This role will help ensure accurate payroll processing, regulatory compliance, and coverage of reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end activities.

The position is onsite, with limited relocation assistance and no visa sponsorship.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of multi-state payroll experience.
• Experience independently managing full-cycle payroll.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on payroll processing experience.
• Proficiency with payroll systems, HRIS platforms, and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Knowledge of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and payroll compliance requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Aufgaben

• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Support payroll tax reporting, year-end processing, and W-2 preparation.
• Maintain accurate payroll information within payroll, HRIS, and ERP systems.
• Handle off-cycle payrolls, manual checks, and payroll corrections as needed.
• Process full-cycle, bi-weekly payroll for employees across multiple states and locations.
• Process garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and employee benefit deductions.
• Review and validate employee time records, payroll adjustments, deductions, and related data.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Assist with month-end close activities and financial reporting.
• Assist with general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations.
• Partner with Finance and HR teams to ensure accurate financial and payroll records.

This individual will play a key role in ensuring accurate payroll processing, maintaining compliance with applicable regulations, and supporting core accounting functions including reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end activities.

Responsibilities:

Payroll Administration
