Qualifications

• Previous payroll, benefits, accounting, or related experience.
• Multi-state payroll experience preferred.
• Knowledge of payroll processing, deductions, taxes, and record-keeping.
• Experience with payroll, HRIS, accounting, or ERP systems.
• Strong Excel and technology skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to meet recurring deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Process timely payroll for Michigan and Illinois.
• Review timekeeping, earnings, deductions, taxes, and reimbursements.
• Process new hires, terminations, and compensation changes.
• Maintain payroll and benefit records.
• Reconcile payroll activity and benefit invoices.
• Coordinate benefit enrollments with HR.
• Support payroll tax reporting and quarter-end/year-end activities.
• Respond to employee payroll questions with professionalism.
