Solucient Security in Michigan is seeking a detail‑oriented Accounting Specialist (Full‑Time, On‑Site) responsible for payroll processing and benefits administration in Michigan and Illinois; you will collaborate with Accounting and HR to support employees from onboarding through ongoing payroll needs.
The role also broadens into general accounting tasks such as accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, cash applications, reconciliations, and inventory transactions.
Accounting Specialist | Full-Time | On-Site
Hours: 8am-5pm
Compensation: $25.00–$28.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skills.
Make the Details Matter.
At Solucient, payroll and benefits are more than transactions. They directly affect our employees and the confidence they have in the organization.
We are looking for a Payroll & Benefits Specialist who takes pride in getting the details right, meeting deadlines, protecting confidential information, and making processes easier for others.
This role is primarily responsible for processing Michigan and Illinois payroll and coordinating employee benefits administration. You will work closely with both Accounting and Human Resources to support employees from new-hire onboarding through ongoing payroll and benefit needs.
As part of the Accounting team, you will also develop broader accounting experience by supporting areas such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, cash applications, reconciliations, expenses, and inventory transactions.
You may be a strong fit if you have:
An associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Human Resources, or a related field or equivalent work experience is required.
At Solucient, how you accomplish the work matters as much as the work itself.
Take responsibility, follow through, and solve problems.
Accuracy matters, especially when the work affects someone’s paycheck or benefits.
Share knowledge, support others, and contribute to a stronger team.
Provide accurate information and surface questions before they become problems.
Be responsive, helpful, professional, and respectful.
Look for ways to prevent errors, simplify processes, and make the work better.
You’ll know you're succeeding when employees are paid accurately and on time, benefit enrollments and deductions are handled correctly, questions receive responsive support, accounting work is accurate and complete, and the processes you touch become more reliable and easier for others.
If you enjoy working with numbers but also appreciate the people side of Accounting, this role offers an opportunity to do both.
