Job summary

A-Line Staffing is seeking a motivated MRO Material Handler (Inventory / Stockroom) to support manufacturing and maintenance operations on-site in Canaan, CT. The role involves receiving, storing, moving, and replenishing MRO parts, tools, and supplies, ensuring stock accuracy, and timely deliveries to maintenance and production teams.

The position is a full-time, on-site contract with potential for permanent hire based on attendance and performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (verifiable).
• 2+ years of material handling, inventory control, warehouse operations, or MRO storeroom operations (preferred).
• Manufacturing environment experience (required).
• Ability to obtain forklift certification (required).
• Familiarity with ERP/CMMS/inventory systems (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming MRO materials, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.
• Store and organize inventory in designated stockroom/warehouse locations.
• Deliver materials to maintenance and production teams in a timely manner.
• Perform inventory transactions using ERP/CMMS/WMS systems, RF scanners, or handheld devices.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation activities.
• Support point-of-use replenishment/Kanban and spare parts management programs.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
• Maintain clean, organized, 5S-compliant storage areas and follow site safety procedures.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and provide backup support as needed.
