A-Line Staffing is seeking a motivated MRO Material Handler (Inventory / Stockroom) to support manufacturing and maintenance operations on-site in Canaan, CT. The role involves receiving, storing, moving, and replenishing MRO parts, tools, and supplies, ensuring stock accuracy, and timely deliveries to maintenance and production teams.

The position is a full-time, on-site contract with potential for permanent hire based on attendance and performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (verifiable).
• 2+ years of material handling, inventory control, warehouse operations, or MRO storeroom operations (preferred).
• Manufacturing environment experience (required).
• Ability to obtain forklift certification (required).
• Familiarity with ERP/CMMS/inventory systems (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming MRO materials, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.
• Store and organize inventory in designated stockroom/warehouse locations.
• Deliver materials to maintenance and production teams in a timely manner.
• Perform inventory transactions using ERP/CMMS/WMS systems, RF scanners, or handheld devices.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation activities.
• Support point-of-use replenishment/Kanban and spare parts management programs.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
• Maintain clean, organized, 5S-compliant storage areas and follow site safety procedures.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and provide backup support as needed.

A-Line Staffing is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented MRO Material Handler (Inventory / Stockroom). This role offers career growth, a supportive work environment, and full-time hours (40+ per week).

Details and Compensation

• Location: Canaan, CT 06018 – 100% on-site
• Payrate: $23.00/hr
• Required Availability: Full-Time (40+ hours/week) Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Summary and Highlights

The MRO Material Handler supports manufacturing and maintenance operations by receiving, storing, moving, and replenishing maintenance/repair/operations (MRO) materials such as spare parts, tools, and consumable supplies. This role helps ensure materials are available when needed by performing inventory transactions and maintaining accurate stock levels in a fast-paced environment.

This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.

Requirements

• Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in material handling, inventory control, warehouse operations, or MRO storeroom operations (preferred)
• Manufacturing environment experience (required)
• Ability to obtain forklift certification (required)
• Familiarity with ERP/CMMS/inventory systems (preferred)Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform physical job duties (including lifting up to 50 lbs in some areas)
