Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in Colorado is seeking experienced Mobile Diesel Technicians to maintain client fleets and respond to service calls on site. The role requires five years of Class 7/8 truck experience, CDL preferred, and ASE certifications; you will diagnose, repair, and document work using company systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Five years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• ASE certifications and related credentials are preferred & rewarded.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and keep it stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and follow daily assigned duties.
• Be available for after-hours service calls and flexible work schedule.
• Read job orders and diagnose vehicle malfunctions to plan repair procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment and technical information to perform repairs.
• Diagnose and replace components such as injectors, pistons, bearings, brakes, batteries, and transmissions.
• Perform diagnostic and documentation functions in the company computer system.
• Inspect safety devices and guards, make adjustments as needed.
• Lubricate moving parts and verify repairs meet specs.
• Document work performed in mobile service program accurately and timely.
• Respond to customer inquiries and build positive relations.
• Advise on repairs or services to be performed within the next 3 months.
• Participate in training and apply it on the job.
