Job summary

CMTA (formerly AMA Group), a Legence Company, seeks an experienced MEP Construction Superintendent to coordinate all site construction activities and report to management. Travel to NYC/NJ sites with limited office time is required.

You will supervise trade and field personnel, implement project management processes, and uphold safety practices while working with NBC Universal, Disney, NBC Sports, and A+E Networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; OR equivalent years of related experience required.
• 1 - 4 years of experience in construction management; MEP and Interiors.
• Working knowledge of MS Project, MS Project Suite, PlanGrid/Procore.

Responsibilities

• Establish site safety/site-office setup to ensure you have everything that is necessary at the time construction begins, to include but not limited to: a logistics plan, how materials will arrive and exit a project site, project safety requirements, and an emergency/evacuation plan
• Review schedule and assist Project Manager in maintaining schedule (in MS project format)
• Create Project Team & Home Page on Procore. Generate a project directory with all field personnel including engineers, design teams, expeditor, special inspector, contractor’s PMs/foremen, etc. in Procore
• Issue subcontractor welcome letters, collect subcontractor insurance, and communicate project safety requirements
• Review trade scope sheets/proposals to ensure an understanding of each subcontractor’s scope of work
• Generate a list of RFIs based upon drawings, scope, and job site review; coordinate with design team to address open RFI issues
• Prepare a submittal log based upon review of the design drawings, issue log to subcontractors and coordinate reviews of all submittals/shop drawings with the design team via Procore
• Print and post OSHA signage; and permits on a permit board near the site office
• Perform site-specific safety orientations, enforce subcontractor weekly toolbox talks and daily huddles
• Mark up MEPS plans daily to track progress, take daily photos, issue weekly progress report and two-week lookaheads
• Manage laboring staff and record timesheets
• Create change events (CEs) and obtain subcontractor pricing when required
• Coordinate Subcontractor meetings and record meeting minutes
• Prepare client meeting minutes for Project Manager review and editing in Procore
• Generate close out and permit matrix; organize site clean up and removal of materials
